[International Educator Intern Program] MOU Signing Ceremony with HCMUE

Alabama International Education and Economic Partnership (ALIEEP) formally established a partnership with Ho Chi Minh City Univerisity of Education (HCMUE) in the Alabama Commission on Higher Education (ACHE) Conference room on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, after a year of building relationship. Along with the attendance of cofounder Hon. Gerald Dial and Vice-Chairperson Dr. Jim Purcell, over 14 Alabama leaders including the ALIEEP Board of Directors (Ms. Beth Chapman, Mr. Darrlye Powell, and Dr. Mark Davis) congratulated the formal agreement and signing ceremony.

University president (Dr. Huynh Van Son) and vice president (Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Trung) along with a 6-member Vietnam delegation from HCMUE visited Alabama for this MOU signing ceremony and shared the vision of education for both organizations. Dr. Huynh Van Son expressed gratitude for the heart-warming education environment of Alabama and ALIEEP executive director (Meesoon Han) emphasized that the ALIEEP STEAM educator program will allow Vietnamese teachers to successfully adjust and flourish in Alabama culture.

Both parties agreed on firm and continuous cooperation in the STEAM educator program which ALIEEP has been working on numerous legislative pathways to make this program. With enthusiastic cooperation from both countries’ education leaders, the STEAM educator program will enhance educational environments and prepare future leaders in both countries.
