ALIEEP develops high-impact, student-centered programs in collaboration with leading agencies around the world. We partner with Alabama universities, K–12 schools, state agencies, legislators, and international governments to deliver authentic, activity-driven learning experiences.
Alabama Commission on Higher Education (ACHE)
ACHE is the state agency responsible for the overall statewide planning and coordination of higher education in Alabama, the administration of various student aid programs, and the performance of designated regulatory functions. ALIEEP is housed under ACHE, making new higher educational programs easy and effective; moreover, its partner relationships are robust. ALIEEP partners with colleges and universities for those who need further education.

The University of West Alabama
The University of West Alabama is a state-supported, coeducational institution of higher learning governed by a Board of Trustees appointed by the Governor. As a regional institution, the University’s foremost commitment is to meeting the educational needs of the State and particularly of the West Alabama area.
Troy University
Troy University is a public university system with a main campus in Troy, Alabama, and additional campuses in Montgomery, Dothan, and Phenix City. Founded in 1887, it is recognized for its global focus, with a diverse student body, a large study abroad program, and support for military and online learners.
Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE)
ALSDE is the state education agency that oversees K-12 public schools. By working with ALSDE, ALIEEP (dba AKEEP) established numerous programs such as accredited Korean as a Foreign Language, the Foreign Credential Approach, converting a Foreign Teaching Certificate to Alabama’s professional teaching certificate, assisting the State Seal of Bilteracy, promoting World Languages, and supplying qualified STEAM educators in local schools The working relationship with ALSDE began with the inaugural chairman of the board, a co-founder of AKEEP, being the State Superintendent has served as chairman of the ALIEEP board, including the current State Superintendent, Dr. Mackey, who served as the chairman for six years until 2024.

ALIEEP has created robust working relationships formalized under Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with various international colleges and universities that allow their students to study in Alabama higher education institutions as a part of ALIEEP‘s STEAM Educator Program and International Internship Program. Over the decades, AKEEP has formed numerous formal partnerships with many Korean universities. Some are more active than others. Instead of listing all formal partnerships, ALIEEP only indicated active working partners below.

International Agencies
ALIEEP is a non governmental, non-profit U.S. educational organization. While Alabama’s state agencies formally partner with international governmental agencies, ALIEEP carries out its programs as commissioned. Some create a direct and formal partnership with ALIEEP to be more effective and efficient. ALIEEP is seriously discussing with a few international agencies and has strengthened collaborative relationships.
