About The Show

When classroom discussion seems to lead to a dead end, the teacher transforms into a charismatic Ringmaster and invites the students into a dazzling circus world. There, they encounter spectacular performances – including a dancers inspired by cultures from around the globe, a Chinese dragon, and a real elephant. Each student sees something different, leading them to collectively realize the truth is bigger – and more beautiful – than any single point of view.

  • MS. ROSALEE DUKES / RINGMASTER – Middle school teacher. Warm,
    imaginative, slightly weary but deeply hopeful. She longs to innovate and help her
    students grow through creativity and shared experience.
  • MAXIM – Confident, enthusiastic, occasionally impulsive. Loves spectacle. Quick to
    assert conclusions and defend his perspective.
  • LEO – Quick-witted and expressive, Charming, expressive, slightly dramatic, and
    happily, distracted by sweets. A skeptic with a soft heart. His humor grounds big
    moments. Ultimately surrenders to wonder.
  • JEAN – Enthusiastic and reactive, Jean wears her feelings on her sleeve and is easily
    swept up by wonder. Observant, slightly guarded, curious beneath the surface.
  • RENEE – Heart-forward, enthusiastic, earnest. Quick to debate but also quick to
