Together, We Can Take Alabama Global

ALabama International Education and Economic Partnership

ALIEEP’s mission is to expand international education in Alabama by providing multilingual and multicultural learning opportunities for students, professionals, and organizations. We strengthen Alabama’s workforce for economic growth and build global partnerships that connect Alabama institutions with international schools, universities, corporations, and agencies—bridging cultures and opening new pathways for success.

ALIEEP empowers students, educators, and communities in Alabama and around the world to connect, share cultures, and build opportunities together. Through community programs, cultural exchanges, and professional development, we strengthen interconnectivity beyond country borders.

Our History

From A-KEEP to ALIEEP

ALIEEP began as A-KEEP (Alabama–Korea Education and Economic Partnership) in 2011, connecting South Korea and Alabama through education and cultural exchange.

In 2023, A-KEEP rebranded as ALIEEP (Alabama International Education & Economic Partnership) to expand its mission beyond Korea, embracing more nations, cultures, and languages.

Today, ALIEEP is dedicated to advancing multilingual and multicultural education, workforce opportunities, economic prosperity, and international partnerships for a stronger global community.

Transparency and Integrity

As an independent, nonpartisan nonprofit organization, we have a responsibility to be transparent with our stakeholders and the public. As such, we acknowledge our limitations, make appropriate information available, and act with good intentions. We listen actively, respond thoughtfully, and refer to past outcomes to inform our future decisions.

Equality and Inclusivity

We believe that our work is enriched when we embrace the varied experiences and perspectives of our staff, board of executives, and the communities we serve. We seek opportunities to encourage inclusiveness and keep our ears open to evaluate how we may better accomplish dynamic change, especially for those individuals underserved.

Visionary leadership

Our leadership is calculated yet fearless in its pursuit of ambitious goals that provide educational, economic, and cultural betterment for all. As thought leaders and global partnership facilitators, we aspire to give our community the tools they need for cross-cultural engagement, inspire creativity, and disrupt the status quo for transformational change.

Collaboration

We believe that when great minds come together, we can achieve more than what is possible alone. We energize community building by working together and connecting with the greater society at large. Our programs, services, and engagement activities work to develop mutually beneficial learning experiences, bring forth solutions, and challenge ourselves to achieve excellence.
