OJT Program Overview
The OJT (On-the-Job Training) Program is a structured internship program that enables international participants to gain hands-on experience in their academic or professional field through supervised training in U.S.-based organizations.
Participants engage in real work environments where they learn industry practices, improve technical and communication skills, and develop a deeper understanding of professional standards in the United States..
Purpose of the OJT Program

It aims to:

Who Can Apply?
The OJT Program is open to international candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary academic program
OR - Graduated within the last 12 months
- Field of study must match the internship role
- Must demonstrate sufficient English communication skills
- Must intend to return to their home country after the program
Program Duration
- Internship duration: Up to 12 months
- Program length depends on training plan and host organization
- Includes a short grace period before and after completion

Application Submission

ALIEEP evaluates your qualifications, academic background, and program fit.

Internship Placement
Secure an internship independently or receive support in connecting with host organizations.

Interview Process
Participate in interviews with ALIEEP and, if required, with the host organization.

Training Plan Development
A structured training plan (DS-7002) is created outlining your internship objectives and responsibilities.

Sponsorship Approval
Upon approval, ALIEEP issues the DS-2019 required for visa processing.

Visa Application
Apply for the J-1 visa and attend the embassy interview.
↓
Program Start
Travel to the U.S., complete check-in, and begin your internship experience.
