Montgomery, Alabama, August 16 2026 – ALIEEP was excited to join the Montgomery community for Kimchi Night with the Montgomery Biscuits, an evening that brought together baseball, Korean culture, and community engagement at Riverwalk Stadium.
ALIEEP attended the event with a booth, giving our team an opportunity to meet members of the community, share information about our programs, and support an event celebrating the growing connection between Korean and Alabama communities.
One of the highlights of the evening took place before the game, when the Korean percussion group NANTA (난타) gave a wonderful performance on the field. Through the energy, rhythm, and movement of Korean percussion, the performance introduced attendees to an exciting part of Korean culture and created a memorable start to the evening.
The event was also joined by representatives from the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Atlanta, adding special significance to the evening’s celebration. Their presence highlighted the strong cultural connections between Korea and communities throughout Alabama and the Southeast. Events like Kimchi Night provide an opportunity to strengthen these relationships while creating a welcoming space for people to experience Korean culture, traditions, and community firsthand.
For ALIEEP, participating in events like Kimchi Night reflects an important part of our mission. International exchange extends beyond schools and professional programs. It also happens when communities come together to experience different traditions, meet new people, and learn more about cultures from around the world.
From the NANTA performance to conversations with visitors at the ALIEEP booth, Kimchi Night provided a fun and welcoming environment for cultural exchange while bringing the community together through one of Montgomery’s favorite traditions: Biscuits baseball.
ALIEEP was proud to be part of this special evening and appreciates the Montgomery Biscuits, NANTA, the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Atlanta, and everyone who helped make Kimchi Night a memorable celebration of Korean culture and community in Montgomery.
