Program Overview
ALIEEP’s Community KSL (Korean as a Second Language) Class is designed for non-Korean speakers and beginner Korean learners who want to build a strong foundation in the Korean language. The course is led by native Korean Teaching Assistants and experienced Korean language educators to provide an engaging and authentic learning experience.
The Community KSL program focuses on developing foundational skills that will help participants:
- Build basic Korean communication skills
- Learn from native Korean speakers and culturally diverse educators
- Understand Korean language, culture, customs, and etiquette
- Choose between an introductory or Korean I class
- Learn in a welcoming environment open to community members ages 13 and older
Classes are held twice a week for 12 weeks and include an orientation and graduation ceremony.
Participants can also take part in ALIEEP’s Korean quiz series and earn $5 to $50 in ALIEEP Program Credit based on the number of correct answers. Earned credit may be applied toward eligible ALIEEP program registration fees, activities, or educational materials, including the Community KSL program. Program credit is non-transferable, has no cash value, and is subject to ALIEEP reward guidelines.

Session Time: 12 weeks; 2 days a week
- Location: ALIEEP Office, (RSA Union, Suite 732 100 N Union St, Montgomery, AL 36104)
Fee: $250 for the full 11 weeks. When paying by credit card, please add $5 for the processing fee.
- Eligibility: Teens and adults
Students are required to attend both days for classes occurring on Tuesdays & Thursdays in person.

Payment Breakdown
The Community KSL Course is $250 per student. This price includes a $20 non-refundable administration fee, a portion of the cost of class materials, online tutoring and materials, an exciting Korean immersion activity, and graduation materials. Full payment is due before Aug 18th. Other payment arrangements can be made upon request. Failure to pay on scheduled time may result in dismissal from class.
Refund Policy
Class payments can be refunded after formally withdrawing from the course via written notice at $10 per the remaining weeks; after 4 weeks of classes, you can no longer receive a refund for withdrawal.
The $20 administrative/overhead fee included in the class costs is non-refundable. Please contact alieep.org for refund instructions. Refunds may take up to 4-6 weeks to be processed. Some refunds may be subject to a service and administration fee which are non-refundable.
