We’re celebrating a significant milestone for our S.T.E.A.M. Educator Program: 6 international teachers placed across the state of Alabama! These experienced and qualified teachers are making a positive impact on the community and educational development.

Our teachers’ expertise covers the entire S.T.E.A.M. acronym, from science to language arts (including foreign languages), and mathematics. One teacher from South Korea, soon to be placed pending board approval, said,

I chose to become a teacher because I find joy in helping students grow in confidence and discover meaning through learning. The ALIEEP program has provided invaluable opportunities for my development as an educator and my teaching journey in the U.S. ALIEEP continues to open doors for international teachers, fostering professional growth and meaningful contributions in education.”

We appreciate the confidence and trust of our participants and applicants. Our credibility is backed by state agencies through funding and authorization.

Our application submissions increased with the International Conference commencing in India this year, with twenty-two interested educators and researchers. Also, a shocking three applicants from Ghana surprised our teams. The educators mainly specialize in STEM fields, with some experienced in teaching native languages.

ALIEEP is dedicated to leveraging international expertise to advance Alabama’s educational and economic success. Our commitment endures in cultivating future global leaders with deep knowledge of multilingual, multicultural education.

It is prudent that we stress the intense need for special education teachers in Alabama. Educators are needed for both inclusion and self-contained classrooms.
