2025 Kite Festival
ALIEEP and the City of Montgomery Department of Cultural Affairs co-hosted a Lunar New Year Kite Festival, a multicultural celebration to bring in new beginnings and the new year. Community KSL Class
ALIEEP’s Community KSL Class is the perfect course for non-Korean and beginner Korean speakers to build a solid foundation in the Korean language and continue their learning journey after class is completed. Our course is led by native-Korean Teaching Assistants and advanced Korean learners to help ensure that you receive an authentic education.

Fine Arts and Flavors: Winter Pop-Up
ALIEEP was excited to participate in the MMFA Fine Arts and Flavors Winter Pop-Up, where we shared elements of Asian culture through hands-on activities that promote multicultural and multilingual learning. Visitors joined us in writing Chinese Spring Festival couplets such as “福” and “春”, and enjoyed a fun Taiwanese night market marble game that introduced traditional play and cultural storytelling. Through these activities, we connected with families, students, and community members, fostering curiosity, creativity, and cross-cultural exchange. Thank you to everyone who visited our table and to MMFA for hosting this wonderful community event!

At AWAKE (Academy for World Arts, Knowledge, and Equality), cultural diversity is celebrated. Historical heroes Yu Gwan Sun of Korea, Sarojini Naidu of India, Martin Luther King, JR. and Maya Angelou make an unlikely appearance to share their stories of peaceful activism in this all – too- timely story.

Make and Take: Origami
ALIEEP will be hosting the Origami Make & Take, a community art exhibition and cultural experience celebrating the creativity and tradition of origami. This event will bring together artists, cultural organizations, and community members to showcase the beauty and diversity of paper-folding art from around the world. Visitors will have the opportunity to view unique origami displays, learn about the cultural significance of the art form, and participate in hands-on workshops designed for all ages and skill levels.

Montgomery’s Biscuits Korean Heritage Night
Each year, ALIEEP partner with the Montgomery Biscuits Baseball and Pulmuone to co-host Korean Heritage Night – a vibrant celebration of Montgomery’s Korean community. The event features cultural performances between innings, community engagement activities, and even a fun twist where the Biscuits rebranding as the Montgomery Kimchi for the evening! It’s a memorable and festive occasion that draws a diverse audience from across the region.

The Blind and The Elephant:
The Blind and The Elephant is a magical, circus-themed performance that blends storytelling, movement, music, puppetry, and global dance traditions. Set in a middle school classroom, the story follows a teacher and her students as they explore the ancient parable of the Blind Men and the Elephant – discovering how different perspectives shape the way we understand the world.

TOCFL Test
The Test of Chinese as a foreign Language (TOCFL) is a standardized language proficiency test developed for non-native speakers of Chinese. This is the second year ALIEEP has partner with Taiwan’s department of Education. We are excited to host this wonderful test every year.
